Welcome home Eryn

Post  Parker Tylman on Wed Jul 21, 2010 6:32 am

Dallen Blackheart: Greetings Ladies
Eryn Riler: Greetings Dallen

Isis Gaelyth: greetings

Dallen Blackheart: "Welcome back from your travels Princess Eryn"
Dallen Blackheart winks at Isis

Isis Gaelyth blushes

Eryn Riler smiles, "Thank you, it was a nice journey but I am happy to be home"

Isis Gaelyth: "I had heard you had returned, and wanted to come and welcome you," Isis glances to the King on the throne, and back to Eryn, giving her a smile.

Dallen Blackheart walks toward Eryn and puts his hand on her arm " we are glad to have you back. How’s the King?" he motions his head toward Parker but his voice was low

Eryn Riler grins, "thank you" she looks up to Dallen, "I have just gotten back I haven’t even had a chance to greet him, is something wrong?",

Dallen Blackheart: " No but the man never sleeps, I expect him to fall over soon"
Dallen Blackheart: "Shall we go say hello?" he grins at his young cousin

Isis Gaelyth says shyly, "The Druidess may have some herbs that will ease him into sleep..."

Dallen Blackheart laughs, "Sneak them in his tea"

Eryn Riler turns to look at her brother frowning slightly, "I worry about him, but I can’t stop him from worrying over his position" she sighs softly and nods

Eryn Riler walks forward, very quietly, she does a deep curtsy "Greetings my brother"

Isis Gaelyth hesitantly follows the Prince and Princess, staying quietly to one side, unsure of herself.

Parker Tylman looks up from his stack of work, he smiles at his little sister. " you came home early. Did you miss us?"

Dallen Blackheart: " She might not have missed you and I my cousin but I expect she missed a certain Prince"

Eryn Riler smiles and blushes, "Well of course I did!!! The journey was very pleasant and quite informative and later I wish to talk to you about some of it but for now,,, ,I’m just happy to be home" she turns and plops down on the step besides Parker's legs, leaning slightly against them

Parker Tylman gives his sister half grin,, then he stands and takes her arm.. he helps her up and to one of the chairs for the royal family to sit in court.

Eryn Riler takes his hand and allows him to help her up, barely hiding a giggle

Isis Gaelyth watches brother and sister together, glad to see they are close again after the trials of the past. Her feet are unused to shoes, they feel tight. The seamstress in the village assured her the black silk of her gown is becoming, but she feels awkward in skirts. Still, she knows she must get used to a new way of being.

Parker Tylman sits back down once his sister is seated properly and he looks out into the room. He motions to Isis to come closer, "Greetings to you Dame Isis come closer if you wish to speak on an issue"

Dallen Blackheart backs away a step or three to allow his cousin to work. He grins to think soon is own sister will sit at the Kings side

Eryn Riler sighs and grins as she realizes Isis isn’t in pants, "Isis, you look lovely that gown fits you perfectly, where did you get it?"

Isis Gaelyth feels the eyes of the King on her and sinks into a deep, respectful curtsy. She rises slowly, after some moments, saying to Eryn, "The seamstress in the village made it for me. It is very fine." Her voice is low but warm, and she smiles at Eryn.

Eryn Riler smiles and looks to her brother, "Do you know of this seamstress?"

Parker Tylman sits lower in his chair and crosses his leg up over the other one.. He waits for her to continue to speak, not wishing to comment on the seamstress.

Eryn Riler: "I must have her name, her work is fabulous. Do you think I could have her make me a dress Parker?"

Isis Gaelyth glances to the King, dressed in his fine velvet tunic, the deep red against his skin suits him well. She glances down and then back to Eryn, "The gown you wear today, is lovely, the train very much suits a Princess of the Royal Court." Isis glances at the Prince, standing silent in the hall. She hears Eryn's question and says, "Her name is Tynne. She is in the first cottage past the bridge."

Parker Tylman nods to his sister,, " You do not need my permission to have gowns made. I am sure Dame Isis did not come here to speak of clothing, am I correct?" he looks at her directly eye to eye

Eryn Riler leans back in her chair adjusting her skirts a bit, she nods to her brother and then looks to Isis, "Of course, please forgive me I have just missed you all and I am happy to be home"

Dallen Blackheart walks forward and bows to the King showing his total respect and loyality. " Sire, I must leave. I have duty to attend to."

Isis Gaelyth looks to the King, feeling his dark and powerful eyes on her. A slight blush rises to her cheeks and she curtsies again. "I came, Sire, to welcome her Royal Highness home. She has been a good friend to me..." she adds slowly, "As you have been." She rises, returning the King's glance with an attitude of quiet acceptance. "But I can speak of news, if you wish."

Parker Tylman puts his hand up towards the Prince,, " Of course Prince Dallen. I will see you later"
Parker Tylman says “Your visit here is your own intentions. You may speak of what you wish"

Isis Gaelyth replies, "My good friend and fellow warrior Felonious Barcelos is known to you, Sire. She has put aside her sword - except when needed - and has taken on a new calling, becoming a Druidess. She and I have been riding out together. I wish to report to you that there has been some fever on farms past the village, but we have been tending the sick and I do not think it will spread further."

Isis Gaelyth adds, "I hope we have not been wrong in doing thus."

Parker Tylman thinks for a minutes before he speaks.
Parker Tylman: “I am aware Druidess Fel has taken to bring out her lifelong roots. This has been her calling along. When she picked up a sword and fought for our land, she pushed her druid roots down deep inside. That can only last for a short time before one must become what one is meant to be. Fel is a Druidess and she will be excel once she finds her place"

Isis Gaelyth nods respectfully to the King, glancing again at his handsome figure, her eyes on his face, so thoughtful. "I believe your words are true. I have known Felonious a long time; she stood by me many a time, steadfastly. She is loyal and strong. If this be her calling, she will excel at it, as she does all she puts her mind to."

Eryn Riler reaches down to smooth the wrinkles in her skirt, "I do not believe I have met her but if she is helping and healing the sick of Caledonia,,," her words trail off as she thinks of her trip and those she met along the way

Parker Tylman says, “if she does pick up her sword once again, pushing those roots back down again could be very hard for her. Both on her body and her mind. She must be free to be who she was meant to be"

Parker Tylman " tending to the ill and the weak is very admirable. I would never stop anyone from give of themselves for that purpose. Is there something you both need from me? in the way of supplies?"

Isis Gaelyth glances to Eryn, sending her a little smile. To the King she says, "Felonious would be willing to pick up the sword if needs must, if the kingdom needed her. But indeed, her heart is now elsewhere. And," she pauses, "she has made me think. A few days ago, I came across a young boy who had fallen from a tree. His arm was broken. No one was near. I set the bone - he was very brave - and took him home, and asked Fel to ride out with me to look at him. His skin had been pale and cold, but he was shaking, and I feared he would have a fever." She looks to the King....

Isis Gaelyth: "It put me in mind of how I would care for the wounded after a battle, Sire."

Isis Gaelyth: .... adds.... "Fel and I would like your permission to care for those of your kingdom together."
Eryn Riler watches her brother as he thinks over the request that Isis made

Isis Gaelyth: "My skills are in tending broken bones and open wounds. Felonious is learning the herb lore to make potions and poultices to draw out sickness and speed healing. Together we can serve in this way, with peace and compassion in our hearts. Yet we will still train with our weapons, as even those who heal may be attacked or may need to protect those around them." Hesitantly, she adds, looking to the King, her eyes on his face, remembering the hot words they had sometimes spoken to each other, "I need this. I have been so full of anger; my tongue was like the sword I carry in battle. In succoring others, I may also find my own way again."

Parker Tylman looks out at her and at the guards who line the throne room standing straight and proud. " I would consider your service in the need of others who are ill or wounded, a great gift to the kingdom. Before land, the welfare and the quality of life for our people are most important. Now that Druidess Fel has embraced her roots, taking up a sword will weaken her. Mark my words.. She may have that in her heart but she must be true to what she is. The combat training will get done. I have confidence in you. You say you need to help others,, this way is a much gentler way and I approve"

Eryn Riler smiles up at Parker, and then turns her head to look at Isis. She smiles and nods, "You will make a very good healer Isis."

Isis Gaelyth smiles gently at the King. "Thank you for your trust in me, Sire. You have always been most generous to this unruly and misbehaving warrior. Your wisdom is powerful and it seems to me that none other should sit on the throne you occupy. It was meant for you. Your guidance and your sure hands on the rein give your people hope in the face of adversity." Her voice is warm. She looks to Eryn, "Thank you, my friend."

Parker Tylman closes his eyes and looks down a bit. "It is where i sit for now. The people of Caledonia and outer villages will be grateful for your service, I am sure"

Isis Gaelyth: "Sire, Felonious and I may need to ride out quickly at a moment’s notice if called to assist the sick. I wondered if you would allow us to stable our horses within the garrison, and use other mounts if our own be strained already."

Parker Tylman “Before I give my permission to that, I will speak to the General. He uses the horses for his men and for this duty to the security of our land. If he feels there are extra horses, of course I will see that you and the Druidess receive all you need to do your service"

Isis Gaelyth bows, "Of course, Sire. Our war horses are not made for such duty. But we should keep them exercised, so using them make sense. Perhaps we should each buy a smaller mount for our rounds." Isis adds thoughtfully, "I wonder if Felonious and I should visit the village on market day, making it known that we can tend minor hurts at that time. But it would not be good for those with fevers or other illnesses to be among the people. They should be kept separate from others as they may bring contagion with them."

Eryn Riler stands and moves closer to Parker leaning down to kiss his cheek softly. "Please excuse me; I must go see about a few things"

Parker Tylman tells her, “I will hear of anyone needing your help. I suggest you concentrate on the outer villages..And I will send for you when we need you right away here. We can have you use the office in the village square when that times comes"

Isis Gaelyth bows again to the King.
